In the early 90’s, Marc Cuyvers, the driving force behind DUPAC, ventured into the world of industrialised roof trusses and timber constructed buildings. Fast forward to 2007 and Marc’s son, Wouter, joined the ranks, lending his experience as a planner and draftsman. This marked the beginning of their collaborative journey overseeing the pre-production phase of timber frame construction.
Over the years, DUPAC has evolved into a key player in the European timber frame construction market, boasting a loyal customer base and a thriving reputation. Central to this success story is the partnership with Modular Building Automation (MBA), a relationship that has not only boosted production but has been instrumental in the company’s growth.
DUPAC specialises in crafting Kerto-Ripa® building elements, focusing on floors and roofs. Leveraging MBA’s bespoke nailing and gluing bridges, combined with dedicated tables for precise beam positioning and clamping, DUPAC has perfected a building system utilising engineered wood that allows for the creation of large-span timber solutions. Streamlining their production processes, enhancing efficiency and ensuring precision, these state-of-the-art machines have become the backbone of DUPAC’s operations, helping them to deliver timber frame constructions across Europe.
Marcel van der Molen, Managing Director at MBA, comments “MBA’s innovative timber frame construction machinery enables DUPAC to achieve not only swift production but also ensures compliance with the rigorous quality standards in the manufacturing of these building elements. This includes meticulous control over the amount of glue applied and the generation of sufficient clamping force through nailing, contributing to the production of high-quality timber elements.”
Reflecting on his experience of working with MBA, Marc Cuyvers shares “The collaboration with MBA has been pivotal in our journey. Their commitment to innovation and quality aligns seamlessly with our values at DUPAC. The timber frame machinery they have provided has exceeded our expectations, contributing significantly to our growth and success.”
Marc envisions an exciting future for the company with an eye on expansion and commitment to staying at the forefront of the timber construction industry. With ambitious plans for continued success, the partnership will ensure DUPAC continues to lead the way in delivering exceptional timber products.
In response to the collaboration, MBA Sales Manager, Michael Roosenboom, comments “DUPAC represents the kind of forward thinking and dedication to quality that we value at MBA. We are proud to be a part of their journey and look forward to supporting their future growth plans in the timber frame construction sector.”
